Are the fonts embedded in this PDF?

We could not reliably determine whether every font is embedded unless FontDescriptor file streams are present. This page reports Pass, Problem, or Unknown—never a guess.

What embedding means

Embedded fonts travel with the file so a printer does not have to substitute Helvetica for your chosen typeface. Standard 14 fonts are sometimes omitted. If dictionaries cannot be read, the status is Unknown.

Frequently asked questions

How do you recognise Letter, Legal, or A4?

Each page’s displayed MediaBox is compared with a named-size table using a 2-point (about 0.7 mm) tolerance. Landscape Letter still matches Letter.

What is the difference between MediaBox and TrimBox?

MediaBox is the full page canvas. TrimBox, when present, is the intended finished size after trimming. CropBox can hide parts of the media box on screen.

If BleedBox exists, do I have real bleed?

Not necessarily. Real bleed requires artwork to extend beyond the trim edge. A box can exist without any ink in that area. Extra empty margin is not real bleed.

Can you tell me every font is embedded?

Only when font dictionaries include a FontDescriptor with a FontFile stream. If that cannot be read, the report says Unknown instead of guessing.
